The tapas moment

We always talk to my parents in laws on a Sunday. It is nearly always tense for us. We don’t have the best relationship with any of hubbies family, sadly we always end up being hurt. After just finishing one of these chats I thought I’d post one of the funnier experiences we had with my parents in law! I need the giggle, and, to be honest a glass of wine!

This was a few years ago when they were staying with us for the week. Now where should we eat?

My MIL obviously didn’t grasp the idea of tapas. Everyone ended up eating what they had picked. Sadly for me it was only salad bits!!! My FIL to his credit did try to encourage the sharing aspect, but she was having none of it!

Now whenever anyone doesn’t grasp something that is fairly basic, me and my husband call it a tapas moment!

I’m from Hawai’i and we exist to share food with each other! I think I would have shanked her and eaten the food she ordered, but that’s why my blog has its name I guess 😀

    1. I kind of wish I had done that! Food is so for sharing, I find it so strange when people don’t! Thanks for stopping by

I do find it weird that she would agree to tapas and the concept and then not share. It’s like going to a fondue restaurant and then refusing to share the pot of cheese.
